Fear vs. Inner-Wisdom
Inner-Wisdom is:
• Intuition
• Hunches
• Good ideas you see in your mind
• The quiet voice that gives wise advice.
• Inner wisdom wants you to be the best you can be.
Fear is:
• The loud voice that appears in your brain uninvited.
• Imagining that a bad experience with public speaking will repeat.
• You were programmed by the adults around you from birth. Were the adults in your early life people you admire for their wisdom? Or did they fill your self-image with their unfounded beliefs?
• Old programming that can discourage you from improving your personal and professional life.
How to Delete Public Speaking Fear
1. Listen to the loud voice and write a list of its warnings and advice.
2. For each thought, ask, “Is it still true?”
3. For example: Jackson F. was in the first three months of his first job in his field. A senior manager humiliated him in a meeting in front of senior management.
